Welcome to Crasey Records
Music is never just background noise; it is the soundtrack to our lives. Crasey Records was born out of a lifelong love of physical vinyl, vintage pop culture, and the authentic, punchy sound of original 7″ singles spinning at 45 RPM.
Raised on the raw stomp of 70s Glam Rock, 80s pop and the indie guitar explosion of the 90s, the store is built around domestic record players and stacking spindles. We are not about stuffy elitism or audiophile snobbery. We are here for the casual nostalgia lovers, crate diggers, and real music fans who want affordable, fantastic-sounding singles that are meant to be played loud.
Behind the Vinyl: The NOW! Memoir
Looking for the stories behind the tracks? Check out our chronological NOW! Blog, where we take a deep dive into every single NOW That’s What I Call Music! compilation starting from late 1983. Tracking the chart battles, the headlines of the day, and the memories etched into the wax.
Strict Grading & Honest Audio Verification
Every record collector has been burned by over-graded, scratchy vinyl sold under vague descriptions. At Crasey Records, we keep our grading clear, honest and transparent:
-
Visual & Audio Inspected: Every record is assessed under bright studio lighting, cleaned with a dedicated fluid solution, and assigned a strict Goldmine/Record Collector grade from Good Plus (G+) to Mint.
-
Original & Reproduction Sleeves: We clearly state whether a single comes in its original picture sleeve, a vintage company sleeve, or a fresh reproduction house sleeve.
-
Listen Before You Buy: If a classic track is visually borderline, we play-test it on a turntable. If you want to hear how a specific record plays before ordering, drop us a message and we will gladly share an audio rip or a quick YouTube video clip so you can hear the playback quality yourself.
