Shipping & Packaging Standards at Crasey Records
Every vinyl collector knows the dread of ordering a classic single online only for it to arrive in a flimsy envelope with split edges, bent corners, or surface scuffs picked up in transit. At Crasey Records, we treat every 7″ single like the piece of music history it is, using a protective, archival packing process designed to ensure your records arrive in the exact same condition they left our shelves.
Our Archival Packing Process
To eliminate transit damage and protect original artwork, we prepare every order with care:
- Seam-Split Prevention: The vinyl disc is carefully removed from its picture or company sleeve and placed inside a brand-new, clean white paper inner sleeve. Housing the vinyl separately prevents the heavy edge of the record from bursting through the original sleeve seams during postal handling.
- High-Gauge Outer Sleeves: Both the newly sleeved vinyl and its original outer or company cover are placed together inside a heavy-duty, protective polythene outer sleeve. This shields the artwork from moisture, friction, and dust.
- Rigid Defendapak Mailers: We dispatch our orders in heavy-duty, rigid cardboard Defendapak mailers. These mailers provide crush-resistant edges and firm structural support that will not bend or buckle inside postal sorting equipment.
Dispatch Times & Postal Carriers
- Fast Fulfillment: Orders are securely packed and dispatched within 1 to 2 working days.
- Trusted Delivery: All domestic shipments are routed via Royal Mail Large Letter services for dependable delivery directly through standard letterboxes, so you don’t have to wait around for the postman.
- Multi-Item Shipments: When ordering multiple singles, items are bundled flat inside shared rigid packaging with internal stiffeners to ensure every record remains completely flat and well protected.
